House Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective October 3, 2026. Commonwealth Lyric Theater (“CLT”, “we”) runs commonwealthlyrictheater.com and our box office at tickets.commonwealthlyrictheater.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • When you buy tickets: your name, email address, the performance and seats you choose, and any answers you give at checkout (for example accessibility needs). Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • When you write to us or use a form (contact, school bookings, newsletter, Young Artist Program): what you type, plus the page you sent it from and how you first arrived on our site.
  • When you visit: our hosting and delivery providers receive technical details such as your IP address and browser type to serve pages and keep them secure. With your consent, Meta's pixel records visits and ticket purchases that follow our ads.

How we use it

  • To sell and deliver your tickets, seat you, and contact you about your performance.
  • To answer your messages and arrange school performances and Young Artist Program applications.
  • To send news about upcoming productions, only if you opt in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • With your consent, to measure which ads and pages bring people to our shows.
  • To keep records we are required to keep, prevent fraud, and comply with the law.

Who helps us

  • Webflow hosts this website and stores form submissions.
  • Ticket Tailor runs our box office and checkout and emails your e-tickets.
  • Stripe processes payments in the checkout.
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram) measures our ads, only with your consent.
  • Google supplies web fonts and plays YouTube videos you choose to watch.
  • Cloudflare and jsDelivr deliver our site files and protect the checkout from bots.
  • GoDaddy provides our email.

These providers process information only to provide their services to us. We do not sell your personal information. We will disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our audiences, staff or performers.

Cookies

We use a few essential cookies and similar storage to run the site and the checkout. Visit measurement and advertising cookies are used only if you allow them. You can change your choice any time under Cookie settings in the footer, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a refusal.

How long we keep it

Ticket orders and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically up to seven years. Messages and form submissions are kept for two years unless they become part of an ongoing booking. Cookie choices last 12 months.

Children

Our shows welcome children, but our website and box office are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian should submit Young Artist Program applications for students under 18.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or stop hearing from us, by writing to irina@commonwealthlyrictheater.com or through our contact page. We will answer within 30 days. Some records, such as completed orders, we must keep for legal reasons.

Security

Our site and checkout use encrypted connections, payments are processed by Stripe under card-industry security standards, and access to our records is limited to people who need it. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as Massachusetts law requires.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Questions: irina@commonwealthlyrictheater.com.
